James Buckeridge

Work experience: During my 40-year career in the finance sector, I predominantly worked in banking undertaking numerous roles and responsibilities.  Since leaving, I have also worked in the treasury team for one of the largest social housing associations in the South East and for a local educational academy introducing numerous business, risk and financial efficiencies. 

Outside of work: I have always liked sports and joined Mid Sussex Hockey Club in 1982 but had to retire due to injury in 2015!  During my time I was a team captain, the club Secretary and club Treasurer.  I am honoured to have been made a Life Vice President due to my past involvement.  I joined Cuckfield Cricket Club in the mid-1970s and was club captain during my formative years. I still play when possible.  I am also a qualified hockey and cricket coach but have reduced my involvement over the years. I recently joined the Haywards Heath Harriers running club to try and maintain my fitness and I still like hitting the ski slopes when time allows.
